F.E.F.A.F. represents and defends the interests of any woman/men choosing, having chosen, wishing to choose as their priority the care of their children, their elderly or disabled relatives, with EU and World Organisations
Structure:
F.E.F.A.F. counts 18 national Associations or Federations working for the same goal at national level and representing each other at European events. Brussels based Secretariat disseminates information from and amongst its members, from and to European Authorities
Aims:
F.E.F.A.F. aims at a free and non-penalising choice in matters of work of caring and minding within the family through acknowledgement of the unremunerated family work traditionally allotted to women To this effect, it requests
specific statistics on the economic and social value of this work
recognition of social rights linked with the time dedicated to family
giving access to education lifelong - initial or continued
reinsertion into labour world
fair and equitable pension
Activities:
Representing women working IN the home (full or part time) with the European Authorities and World Organisations by
participating to any meeting related with their concerns
meeting with political and social representatives
taking stand on issues bearing interest on them and being discussed within EU
Contributing to the mutual acquaintance and understanding of women working IN the home from EU Member States and Candidate countries and their specific problems
Passing on information in both directions (members – EU)
Newsletter: sent to members, to Commission, to any interested Authority or person
