The Portuguese Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity has invited the Social Platform to speak at the Ministerial Conference on Flexicurity on the 13th-14th September. We appreciate this opportunity to openly debate flexicurity and consider it a positive recognition of the Social Platform’s contribution to the debate on Employment reforms.

The Secretariat received three invitations. Dirk Jarré, Vice President, and Roshan Di Puppo, Director, will represent the Social Platform at the conference. Nonetheless, we have been requested by the Portuguese presidency to extend the number of invitations to take into account Social Platform member's interests in the issue. We would thefefore welcome the expression of member's willingness to participate in the conference before 27 August, if we receive a positive answer from the organisers.
