With the adoption of the Spring Alliance Manifesto, our campaign moves into its next phase: to convince the EU’s decision-makers to take up our 17 proposals. To this end, we’d like to announce the Spring Alliance High-level Conference, which will take place on Monday, September 28 at the European Economic Social Committee in Brussels.

Subtitled “People and Planet First: EU Leadership for a Green and Social Strategy for Post-2010”, the conference will bring together civil society actors with the key decision makers of the moment to discuss the Spring Alliance Manifesto, and look into how our proposals can be translated into action. Speakers will include José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission and Maud Olofsson, Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden and Minister for Enterprise and Energy (TBC).
