Social Platform Study visit to Belgium - Agenda and registrations![16/10/2009] This year we've decided to link the Social Platform study visits to the upcoming presidencies. After the first one in Spain/Madrid (September 7-8), we'll now hold our second study visit in Brussels, Belgium (November 30-December 1). Please find hereafter the Agendas for Social Platform members, for participants coming from Belgium and for members' members coming from Central-Eastern Europe:
What do we need from you? 1. Please inform your members from Belgium, EU12 and Croatia and disseminate this information through your newsletter and contacts. 2. If you or your members are interested in coming, register by letting Ariella know the following:
What are study visits? Since 2003, Social Platform has organised visits with civil society organisations (CSOs) from the accession countries (now so-called new Member States or EU12). The aim is to provide European networks of social CSOs with a basis for the development of their network and building co-operation with CSOs from these countries. Participants in the meeting share knowledge, expertise and experience about their work and on the social issues facing European countries but also raise awareness of EU NGO networks. Who can go? Study visits are open to members' members from the selected countries and this year coming from Belgium, new EU members States (EU12) and Croatia. Social Platform has secured funds to make sure they can come to Belgium. We strongly encourage them to join us and other members of members. We look forward to enjoying this informative study visit together.
