What’s on the agenda?

• EU 2020: after a three month campaign facing the opposition from some major Member States, what final messages should be delivered at the June summit? Depending on the different possible outcomes, what should be Social Platform’s priorities after the June Council? What should be the key messages to be delivered at the informal meeting of Ministers of Employment on July 7?

• Bi-annual meetings with the European Commission (22 June): what messages to László Andor (Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion) and Viviane Reding, (Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship)?

• Preparing the 2011 work programme of Social Platform: You will have the opportunity to exchange and discuss your own priorities for next year and draw some common issues or aims that could become a Social Platform’s activity in 2011.

• Annual theme on care: focus on the conference (November 4-5): clear proposal for the content of the conference will be presented and we count on you to come up with proposals for the content of the 3-4 workshops that will be set up.

• Consultation on the future “Europe for Citizens programme”: how to advance civil dialogue in Europe? How to shape the programme so that the financial sustainability of the Platform is guaranteed after 2013?
  

Social Platform members coming from abroad are invited to follow the practical guidelines arranging their travel.
