Social Platform annual conference on Care: register by October 21!
[14/10/2010]

Few seats remain for Social Platform conference on Care: “Developing a common foundation for Care that respects the rights of individuals, guarantees access to services and promotes social inclusion” taking place on November 4-5, 2010 at the International Auditorium in Brussels.

Please find here the Agenda and a background document .

The conference will showcase a selection of innovative responses in Care practices and policies, arising from Social Platform members’ experiences. No fewer than 15 members will contribute to the two parallel workshops, both at European and national level. Social Platform members’ experiences will be confronted with an academic point of view: Professor Fiona Williams, from the University of Leeds and author of a research paper on Care for the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development, will participate on both days and draw the conclusions with Heather Roy, Member of our Management Committee.

The conference will be an opportunity for you to:

  • hear some good examples of Care practices or policies that ensure the rights of individuals, guarantee access to quality services and promote social inclusion
  • contribute to the debate that will pave the way for developing key messages, the first step in the development of recommendations to EU and national institutional actors
  • meet members’ members from the national level
