The 7th meeting of the European Integration Forum will take place on May 31 - June 1, 2012. The topic will be the right to family reunification of Third Country Nationals living in the EU.

From November 15, 2011 to March 1, 2012 the Commission held a public consultation on the right of family reunification (Directive 2003/86/EC), the contributions are publicly available at the Commission's website. Following the consultation it was announced that a public hearing would be organised. In consultation with the Members of the Bureau of the European Integration Forum it was decided to organise the public hearing on family reunification within the Forum meeting; to deepen the discussions with representatives of civil society organisations.

Invitation and more information will be sent out at a later stage by the organisers. All those who contributed in writing to the public consultation will also be invited.
