Social Platform is growing - now we have 46 members
[27/04/2012]

At our General Assembly yesterday, April 26, a new member of Social Platform was unanimously accepted - Dynamo International, the international network of social street workers. Dynamo international works with street workers who are in contact with diverse groups of people (children, young people, women, immigrants, homeless..) who face a lot of problems (drug and alcohol addiction, jobless, poverty, social exclusion, discrimination etc). But most structures of Dynamo international are fragile and are victims of budget cuts while more and more people have to face poverty. Hence, Dynamo International wants to contribute to raise their voice and report at the European level the realities on the ground.

Dynamo international shares Social Platform's values and objectives. In fact, they are recognised like a network acting against poverty and social exclusion in the framework of the Progress Programme for employment and solidarity (2011-2013). Through its activities, the network wants to promote the exchange of practices training and reflection. it also seeks the awareness, questioning and promotion of street work on its specificities.

Social Platform would like to welcome Dynamo International and we look forward to working with them.
