Focusing on an alternative to European Economic Governance
[10/09/2012]

On September 3 we held our first after summer meeting of the Social Policy Working Group and set out the guidelines for our work on social inclusion and employment for the rest of 2012.

In preparing for the next European semester of 2013, we further shaped our contribution to the next Annual Growth Survey in view of its publication by the Commission this fall.

We also discussed the Social Pact that we have been calling for since the beginning of this year. With this pact, we will put forward an alternative to European Economic Governance in support of a sustainable and inclusive growth, taking a structural and pro-active approach.
