Future of Europe

The Social Platfom has been actively campaigning to promote the development of a EU Constitution based on the respect of fundamental rights, social justice and the recognition of the principle of "participatory democracy".

The Social Platform is also a key participants in a broad coalition of civil society organisations known as the Civil Society Contact Group, who together have launched the act4europe campaign. This group, which involves human rights NGOs, development NGOs, environment NGOs and social NGOs aims to broaden the involvement of civil society in the Future of Europe debate, as well as to develop common visions for the future of the EU.
