European Economic & Social Committee: Civil Society in the EU – Future scenarios for 2030

The European Economic & Social Committee’s (EESC) Group III “Various Interests” is organising an extraordinary meeting, in order to present a study on ‘The future evolution of civil society in the European Union by 2030’. The study was commissioned by Group III in cooperation with the EESC’s Liaison Group. The study was commissioned by the EESC in the framework of the annual study programme for 2017 to CNVOS (Centre for information service, cooperation and development of NGOs (Slovenia) and ENNA (European Network of National Civil Society Associations). It presents the current state of play realised through personal interviews, a survey and desk-research. The study develops five scenarios of change and includes several concrete recommendations and conclusions.
