Capacity building sessions for members on writing EU applications and on advocacy

We are organising two capacity building sessions for members at the end of March / beginning of April.

The first one will be on how to write applications for EU funds and it will take place on March 24 from 12:00 to 14:00 at our offices. This session will be led by Rebecca Wagner from Heinrich-Boll-Stiftung. The following topics will be covered:

•    which instruments are suitable for my organisation?
•    how do I identify the right calls?
•    strategies to decide whether EU applications are added-value for my organisation
•    key issues to consider when developing EU fundraising strategy
•    exchange of experience.

The second workshop will be about advocacy, 'Advocacy: latest thinking about impact assessments and communication' and is scheduled on April 2 from 12:00 to 14:00.

Hans Wolters, Director of Organisation Development Support , will talk about various aspects of advocacy, with special attention for measuring advocacy impact, how to communicate advocacy impact to funders and how to underpin good advocacy with great communication.

Hans Wolters has worked in the European Parliament, has been Director of Greenpeace EU in Brussels, director Organisational Development of WWF International in Geneva and Director of the Resource Alliance – a fundraising organisation –  in London. He now heads ODS,  a small organisational development consultancy, which specializes in advising international not for profit organisations in Brussels on advocacy, communication, HR and organisational development issues.
