Inclusion Europe: Inclusion Europe welcomes new Executive Director

In September 2016 Milan Šveřepa will be taking over from Aleksandra Ivanković Tamamović as the Executive Director of Inclusion Europe.

Milan has been fighting to improve the lives of people who face barriers and prejudice in society his entire professional life and is strongly committed to defending the value and potential of every individual.

Milan led a major deinstitutionalisation initiative in the Czech Republic and became director of an NGO to continue that work in Central and Eastern Europe. His professional background is in Social Work with considerable management experience transforming the delivery of services and creating platforms for families, organisations and service users to present their views. He believes there are important voices and stories that still need to be heard and wants to give them the platform they deserve.

With the support of Aleksandra, Milan plans to coordinate Inclusion Europe’s strong member network and facilitate a European exchange of knowledge. Together they will fight for equal rights and full inclusion of persons with intellectual disabilities and their families in all aspects of life in order to influence European policies and have these voices heard.

Inclusion Europe looks excitedly towards the future and potential progress to be achieved by working with Milan.
