Launch of European Migration Forum

In 2009, the European Commission together with the European Economic and Social Committee launched the European Integration Forum, a platform for dialogue with civil society on issues related to the integration of third-country nationals. Since then, the Forum has met twice a year and discussed different subjects focusing on migrant integration. This year, it was decided to extend the scope of the Forum to cover more topics related to immigration and asylum that would benefit from a discussion with civil society.

The first meeting of the new European Migration Forum will take place on January 26-27 2015, and will ask for contributions of civil society to address migratory flows in the Mediterranean.

If your organisation is active in this area and would like to participate, please read more on how to apply on the Commission’s website (no later than November 10).
