Register for our conference on social innovation
On February 13, 2014 our conference "9 principles for meaningful social innovation" will take place at the European Parliament, from 12:00 to 14:00. It will be hosted by Heinz Becker MEP, rapporteur on the Social Business Initiative (you can read his report).
Social innovation has received increased attention through the EU agenda. However, a clear common EU definition of social innovation is still missing.
This is why in December 2013 Social Platform adopted a position paper on social innovation, proposing 9 principles to define meaningful social innovation and providing policy recommendations.
They will be discussed with members of the European Parliament, representatives of the Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee, and representatives of NGOs.
