Rare Diseases Europe: Webinar, ‘The impact of COVID-19 for people living with a rare disease’

Two experts from EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe will hold the seminar, which will take place on 9 June from 11.00 to 12.00 (CET). The purpose of the webinar is to provide an overview of how the Covid- 19 is affecting the provision of healthcare services for rare disease patients.
The webinar will be held by Inés Hernando, ERN and Healthcare Director in EURORDIS and by Sandra Courbier, Social Research Director in EURORDIS. Attendees will then be able to ask questions to the speakers. The webinar will be recorded and available for off line vision afterwards.
In the context of the “COVID-19 Clinical Management Support System” launched by the European Commission, DG SANTE organises a series of webinars to support clinicians and other healthcare professionals at the frontline of the care of COVID-19 patients. These webinars will bring the expertise and recommendations of several experts from the 24 ERNs in the management of challenging cases of patients suffering at the same time of COVID-19 and a rare or complex disease or conditions.
