In 1919, Eglantyne Jebb established the Save the Children Fund to feed children facing starvation after the First World War. Today, Save the Children is present in 120 countries across the globe, where it implements programmes and advocates for change to realise all children’s rights. In Europe, Save the Children is present through the EU Advocacy Office based in Brussels and national members in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
