Wednesday, 17th July 2024, 14.00 – 15.00
Room S4.1, European Parliament, Strasbourg, France
Social Platform and Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe are pleased to invite you to our 1hr lunchtime event on the Just Transition.
Representing the voices of both green and social NGOs, we believe the next five years will be crucial for achieving our social, climate and environmental targets, and these can only be achieved via a Just Transition that ensures no one is left behind.
During this event we wish to bring together leading MEPs to share what they believe is at stake for the future of the Just Transition. Social Platform & Climate Action Network Europe will also briefly outline some of our ideas on how to achieve a Just Transition including the creation of an:
- Executive Vice President for Future Generations & Wellbeing [Find out more]
- European Commissioner Responsible for the Just Transition & Climate Action [Find out more]
- Intergroup for the Just Transition [Find out more]
We know this is a busy week, so please feel free to drop in, grab a bite to eat and hear why and how we can prioritise the Just Transition. There will be space during the lunch for all MEPs to take the floor and share their perspectives.
Please register your interest in participating, to help with catering and managing numbers. As this event takes place in the European Parliament, if you wish to join the lunch you must have access to the European Parliament, or organise your own entry.
