Consultation on EU Fundamental Rights Colloquium

European Commission  has launched a consultation in order to collect input on a number of questions which will be at the centre of discussion during the first Annual Colloquium on Fundamental Rights in the EU, 1-2 October 2015, Brussels.

The Colloquium will aim at improving mutual cooperation and greater political engagement for the promotion and protection of fundamental rights in Europe. It will seek to strengthen dialogue between the EU and international institutions, policy makers, academia and civil society, and deepen the understanding of challenges for fundamental rights on the ground. Another key objective will be the identification of gaps and achieving progress on topical fundamental rights issues.

The central theme of the first edition of the Colloquium will be “Tolerance and respect: preventing and combating anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim hatred in Europe”.

Individuals and organisations are invited to send their input to the questions attached until  15 May 2015 to: JUST_Colloquium@ec.europa.eu

The Commission will analyse and disseminate the contributions, which will allow a large array of views to be conveyed to the Colloquium.
