Women of colour at work – Towards an intersectional approach to diversity management

The 2nd edition of the Social Learning Platform was organised by Social Platform member the European Network Against Racism (ENAR). During the meeting, ENAR presented its toolkit aimed at shifting towards an intersectional approach to diversity management. It calls for diversity management that questions power structures within organisations and creates new styles of organisational management.

The barriers section of the toolkit provides an non-exhaustive summary of available evidence of the discrimination, exclusion and inequality experienced in the workplace by women of colour. It looks at direct experiences of women of colour, and at trends in the European labour market.

The solutions section of the toolkit serves as a guide for employers, including a step-by step guide and checklist, and resources for employers.

This toolkit is part of a wider body of work produced by ENAR exploring racism, discrimination and exclusion as experienced by women of colour through an intersectional lens.
