Outcomes of the Conference on the Future of Europe
This year’s Europe Day (9 May) marked the end of over one-year long consultations on the future direction of the European Union. In a process that became known as the Conference on the Future of Europe, people, civil society organisations, social partners and other interested stakeholders expressed their views on how the future of Europe should be shaped. The outcomes of this process are 49 recommendations across different policy fields, including social and employment rights, health, democracy, and climate change.
Now it is time to turn words into action and deliver tangible results for people!
Social Platform has been involved in the Conference in different ways. We published our key demands on the digital platform – the focal point for uploading solutions to create a better EU – and took an active role in the Social Europe Cluster of the Civil Society Convention on the Future of Europe, which is an alliance of civil society organisations that united to bring forward common demands.
